We have a man , he is a Buddhist , that has come to talk to us today. He is awfully sweet he makes these little jokes and moves around and tells us all bout Buddhism he is a little bit old and a little bit tiny. Its a little bit cute.
Buddha was born and HId away from all suffering and sadness because of a prophecy. When exposed to four things a monk a diseased person a funeral provession and an old man he goes back to the palace.
For 29 years he was surrounded by beauty .He knew not of these things. Upon his return to the palace he was once again surrounded. By beauty. He woke to a harem of women asleep and saw the transformation of the beautiful girls to ugly nakedness . Here he make the decision to retire from this world to find the answer to suffering. This is where the search begins. He give up his child and wife.
He goes out and starts lookin for the path to end suffering. He went and tried many extreme lengths until he finally finds the middle way. This is where he came to the resolution ( the rice and river) sits under the bodhi tree after consuming the rice and goes into deep meditation.
This is where he found enlightenment.
